How do I order a transcript?

To order a transcript, first click on the Request a Transcript button located on the left side of the homepage. You will be taken through a three-step process where you will be asked a variety of questions about the transcript you are ordering. It may be helpful to have any relevant documents issued by the Court close by for quick reference during this process.

In Step 1 you will be asked when and where your hearing took place. In Step 2 you will be asked what you want transcribed and when you need it finished. In Step 3 you will be provided an estimated cost for your order and you will have the option to complete your order by creating an account and paying a deposit.

As you will be asked specific questions about your hearing, it is very important that you answer all questions as accurately as possible. To get a price quote, you will have to estimate how long each hearing was. Accuracy is particularly important when you estimate the hearing length because the closer your estimated time is to the actual hearing length, the closer your estimated cost will be to the actual cost of the transcript. On the other hand, if you underestimate the length of your hearing, your final cost may be significantly more than your estimated cost. A deposit in the estimated amount must be made before AVTranz will start work on your transcript. Once your transcript is complete, if the final cost of your order is more than the initial estimate, you will be required to settle the balance before AVTranz can make your transcript available for download.

How does AVTranz produce the transcript?

AVTranz has a team of certified, professional transcriptionists and proofreaders who will turn the official audio recording of a hearing into an accurate, certified, official transcript. All transcription is performed or supervised by AAERT or NCRA certified professionals. Only certified transcripts, produced by AVTranz, may be used in New Hampshire courts or for appeal purposes to the New Hampshire Supreme Court or a New Hampshire Superior Court.

How will my transcript be delivered?

Once AVTranz completes your transcript and receives payment in full, your transcript will become available for download in PDF format. You will receive an email notification as soon as your transcript is ready for download.

In order to open your transcript in PDF format, you will need Adobe Reader. If you do not have Adobe Reader, you can download it for free at http://get.adobe.com/reader/.

If you are ordering a transcript for the purpose of appealing to the New Hampshire Supreme Court, AVTranz will send a printed copy of the transcript to the Court as well as to the other, non-appellant parties to the matter.
